I work as a Senior Engineering Manager at Exasol, leading international teams of software engineers and data engineers. We focus on AI and modern data architectures including data lakes and data lakehouses.
On the side, I build things, write about what I learn on this blog, and contribute to open source. I hold an MSc in Information Systems from the University of Cologne and a Certified Data Vault 2 Practitioner credential.
The site name reflects my approach: clarity before code, intent before implementation, deliberate code.
